Riding for all ages and abilities

Hillcrest Farm is a small family run riding school and livery with over 30 years experience. We have horses and ponies to suit all ages and abilities from your very first riding lesson to improving your jumping skills or cantering through the fields on one of our hacks.  We also specialise in riding lessons for adults and children with learning disabilities.

You can join our adult or children's group riding lessons in one of our outdoor schools. We will try to match you with others of a similar ability. You can also have a private lesson, a good idea if you are new to riding, or share a lesson with a friend. If you just want to enjoy the Sussex countryside, try one of our hacks. We have forest and farmland nearby, perfect for a relaxing ride or for an invigorating canter, depending on your experience.

During the school holiday we also arrange special events including pony days and summer camps. See also our Special Events page for more details. We can also organise 'one off' riding experiences, perhaps a children's riding party or a adult pony day; just give us a call on 07778 643347 to see what we can do.

We can supply hard hats and reflective jackets (for hacking out) for most shapes and sizes but we do have a weight limit of 13 stone. See our current prices for lessons and hacks.

If you have your own horse or pony we may be able to offer DIY or part-time livery, call us to discuss.
